The
links below take you to "Roadmaps"
we developed to help you explore issues, identify helpful
web links and retrieve documents from various sources.
We use this technique because, folding and unfolding branches
of the roadmap (read the instructions
at the top of each map),
you can switch from a "30,000 foot" summary view
to "detail" view of different parts of the issue
to be discussed/evaluated and travel the information base
with continuous reference to the general context.
We
believe that our Roadmaps and Knowledgemaps represent a
new way of navigating and delivering complex information
about issues where different perspectives and conflicting
considerations exist. Our Roadmaps evolved from from "mindmaps"
which derived from research in cognitive psychology. Marco
Messina, Director of Technology Programs at Maricopa SBDC,
developed and successfully tested this unique technology
and web user for use in collaborataive information processing
and knowledge management and created new models of collaboration
and counseling communications. We hope you find this approach
helpful even if not yet the most commonly used. We believe
that this is a new knowledge management paradigm that lets
us deliver superior service.
We
welcome your comments.
